The changes in the approach to learning presume a new knowledge from both - the school management and the teachers. One of the most considerable possibilities of gaining new knowledge is learning from the experiences of the other countries. To provide the learning quality in accordance with the contemporary requirements, the school needs to gain extra knowledge in organizing the learning process, extending the cooperation between the teachers and implementing the effective use of modern digital technology. The staff of the vocational school needs to gain new experiences in using the modern active learning techniques and teaching materials, work-based learning and the new forms of collaboration which effectively support the reforms in the learning conceptions. For achieving it the school has started a project “Enhancing the learning process by supporting the teachers’ competence developing and cooperation”. The aim of the project is to modernize the learning process and raise the competency of vocational teachers in the light of the change of the new approach to learning. Implementing the module- and project based learning and integrating it with professional training has enhanced the quality of the skills of the students. The improved cooperation between the school and the companies has helped to build trustworthy and transparent relations and the new competences of the vocational teachers make the Vocational Education more contemporary, popular among the youth in the region and serve the needs of the labour market.
