Rechercher des projets européens

Opettajien kansainvälisyys- ja digitaitojen lisääminen
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

To answer to the challenges of our new curriculum, and the challenges in modern technology we are going to train our teachers in information technology ( tablets ) , as well as in bringing the European dimension to our school. Two of our staff are going to update the tablet know-how in England and Estonia , where appropriate courses are organized. At the same time they will be networking with other teachers in the course . Since our high school teaches media studies in addition to the regular curriculum, a good knowledge of the new technology is absolutely vital for us . We are able to motivate our students better, if we use up-to-date equipment in teaching. We aim to merge the school into the surrounding community, so that a young person finds the school's teaching methods and tools motivating. We will learn new and dynamic ways to use tablets in education. We'll look at the tablets´ advantages and disadvantages compared to other communication devices. We will have a variety of new free applications for different subjects, which support learning, communication and self-assessment. We get a variety of ways and practical examples of how tablets are used for training in different countries. We learn how we can make use of them in internationalization. We learn the responsible and safe use of tablets. We gain teaching skills in the use of tablets and new media to promote learning -explore new ways in which tablets and new media can help the learner. We learn to include tablets in our curriculum in a natural way.The international dimension is another important development target. It requires teachers to brush up their language skills and acquire international contacts. Understanding other cultures and comparing our culture with other European cultures so that we can find more in common than differences, will make our school more tolerant and more open to the rest of the world. Three teachers will be attending courses about culture and pedagogy in Sweden, Iceland and Greece. Language skills will be taken into everyday use in our school's international projects. Teachers participate in international projects and will be braver in the use of language as a tool without paying much attention to occasional grammatical errors . The most important thing is that the message is understood. Getting to know different countries and cultures will broaden our understanding of the world and, hopefully, increase tolerance towards other countries. This need is enhanced by the ongoing refugee crisis. The aim is also that all the staff will be able to participate in international projects and thus provide students with examples of natural and fluent use of a foreign language. In addition, we want to meet the challenge set by the young people's social exclusion. They need support and motivation to succeed in their studies, as well as a lot of self-awareness and self-confidence, so that they have the confidence to go abroad to study. This is something that the EU offers them, but many need a lot of encouragement.
