Opening up Europe
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

After the analysis we made to detect our areas of improvement, we agreed that we needed to improve our standard of teaching in general and in the CLIL programme in particular. We decided to sign up for a course on new methodological currents and in which, at the same time, we could improve our linguistic competence in English. Besides, we detected a growing demand of actions which would involve getting in touch with schools from other european countries. As in the course we are planning to take, we will be sharing lessons with other european teachers, we expect to build bridges for future projects with them. To sum up, our two main objectives, improvement of teaching standards and stablishment of connections with other european countries, will be accomplished with this course. The 3 teachers taking part in this project, are experienced teachers willing to improve and update their competences and abilities and with a desire to internationalize our school. The main activities we plan to do are those designed for this course, i.e. new methodological currents' analysis, observation of lessons delivered by the teacher trainers to other students, discussion of the use of different strategies, resources, tools, etc, which together with getting in contact with other european teachers, will fulfill our objectives for this project. As a result of this project we expect to improve the teaching stardard of the teachers taking part in the project and start relationships with other european countries which will result in a near future in mobility projects with these schools. The impact of this project on our school community starts in the classroom, where our students will benefit from all the new tools we have learned about. Besides we will influence our colleagues through the Improvement Plan we will design to spread all about what we learnt in this course. We will design and deliver workshops and talks which we hope will encourage our colleagues to apply new methods of teaching in their lessons. We also hope we will be able to encourage teachers of all levels and subjects to implement projects with other european schools. Outside our school, we will be available for any talk or workshop that the Teachers' Centre ask us to deliver.Looking at the near future, we hope that the relationships we start in this course will result in mobility projects of teachers and students with a vocation of continuity.
