Open up!
Date du début: 1 juin 2012,

The Kornyezetvedo es Termeszetbarat Civil Egyesulet (Environment Protecting and Nature Friendly Civil Association) that is applying for the support of the European Community, is doing environmental and nature protecting public work from the beginning as it is stated in its Founding Deed besides managing to give help the population, young people and others in need when it comes to their rights and representation. In the last few years, we helped as recipient partners to young people to make their projects work. The topic of Open Up! is the public activity of young people. To be more precise, we want to show to the youngsters of Europe that it is possible to co-operate and co-work with visually and aurally challenged and handicapped people. As for programme organising, we heavily rely on the help of local youngsters. We also wish to present that people with special needs require only small help to reach their goals. We have to help them to show this little help. After this they do not feel humiliation but success, which helps them to build self-confidence. Moreover, they will be mentally healthy and they will feel themselves as part of the group. We send the message to all young people of Europe to Open Up, to be open to the needs of people with handicap, to be able to give help, to participate in public activities and representational democracy. Our project is based in VA!sA!rosnamA©ny, there will be altogether 45 participants and their assistants from Italy, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia and Hungary, most of them are multiply underprivileged. The project lasts for 13 workdays and we aim to do work that changes societys attitude, shows how young adults can be helpful assistants and what are some comparative advantages. We wish to advertise our successful work methods and our good results with the help of our partners from the neighbouring countries. At the same time we also want to popularise the Youth in Action youth exchanges as well. Our activities always send important messages (TV-interviews, making a DVD, creative young people, and simulation games). They are public, interactive, cohesive, encourage everyone to be active and co-operative, they form groups and common experiences, while they hide the differences. Our work methods include the public presentation of the blind and visually challenged, candid camera, workshops and other public performances. They all encourage everyone to be active and creative. The central goal of the exchange is to teach the youngsters how to organize and form the events. It also helps them to be responsible and develop their skills as they have to solve the problems on their own. It teaches them to form an opinion, listen to each other and accept each others views. It serves our personal development, our sense of tolerance and eliminates prejudice. It also serves our formal and non-formal learning and our roles in society. The exchange includes intercultural programmes, through which we show each other our national culture, traditions and habits in order to gain deeper knowledge on each other and accept the national differences. Our project is free from exclusion, any kind of differentiation, the scorn of handicap and insensitivity.
