Op zoek naar effectieve onderwijsmethoden en -aanpakken
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

In our educational system at regularly times new methods and approches are introduced without proven that this new offer is better than the previous one. A new textbook, a changed teaching form, ... are some of the exemples. In addition to this, there is few (often academic) knowledge concerning educational changes that finds its way to the local education policy. To little evidence is collected on the shop floor te show the effectiveness of teaching methods and teaching approaches. To me, a new method or new approach is more effective if ... • there are evident advantages for the students: they function beter on cognitive, social or other level; • there are no evident disadvantages for the students (they don't achieve worse results) and there are at the same time other advantages like a lower cost or a reduction of pressure of work for the teachers. So far my account to learn about the framework of 'Evidence Based Teaching and Learning' in the conviction that by this my team will regard 'changes' with more care, that my teachers will teach with more quality and that my students' outcomes will increase. Some of the crucial things I want to learn about: 1. Where and how can 'Evidence Based Teaching and Learning' attribute to the effectiveness of education? 2. How can the use of an 'Evidence Based' approach in our educational systeem be stimulated? As a head of school I am the main responsible for the educational policy at school. That is why (and also for practical reasons) I will attend the course to get familiar with he knowledge, skills and attitudes concerning the idea of 'Evidence Based Teaching and Learning'. After this necessary input I will -together with a guiding group- construct a workable frame which will allow all teachers to use when dealing with changes on short, medium and long term.
