Every year millions of people die from wrong interventions. The reason is that most people do not have enough knowledge about what they should do at an emergency situations. Sometimes a pice of first aid knowledge can save a person's life. According to the report publi shed by Turkish Health Ministry in 2011, the first 5 minutes is 5 times more important than the rest minutes for the wounded victim to survive him or her.With this project, we aim to come together with young people from different parts of Europe to share the information about first aid techniques for emergencies and also learn different intervention techniques. The project will be implemented in Aksaray city in Turkey. The activities of the project will be between 17-25 July 2016. The activity is a training course and it will last 9 days including travel days. The project language will be English. The coordinator of the project is Behçet Hastaları ve Sağlıklı Yaşam Derneği. 29 Participants will join the activities. The training will be based on non-formal education techniques. Within this project, the participants will get knowledge on how can a person intervene the following situations;* Drowning in a Lake or Sea,* Traffic Accidents,* Fire, * Physical Injuries,*Twists and Fractures,* Burns,* Bleedings,* Cognition Disorders,* Poisoning,* Obstruction of the Airway,* Beatens by Insects,* Lost İn A Mountain or Forest,* Earthquakes, * Heart Attacks etc. In order to fulfill the activities foreseen following non-formal education techniques will be used. • Name games,• Ice breakers,• Workshops, • Group work, • Group discussions and brainstorming,• Competitions,• Visual presentations,• Drama • Cultural NightIn the future; we foresee that this project will help to build new partnership and collaboration. Moreover, it will help to increase awareness on first aid techniques. Youth workers, young people, youth leaders, decision takers and representatives from different NGOs in EU will be our target groups.
