Date du début: 24 juin 2014, Date de fin: 23 oct. 2014 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The "One World One Forest" was the brainchild of a group of young people from Valladolid (Spain) who are committed to social issues and environmental conservation. Our wish has always been to prevent one of the biggest problems affecting the south of Europe: forest fires. To undertake this project, we have had the active participation of ten young Italians and nine youth Portuguese. In total thirty-one participants aged between 16 and 30 years of cultures and different ideas but with a clear common goal: that of preserving forests through the pooling of ideas to protect resources and prevent fires. The activity which has built this project took place the days between August 30 and September 7, 2014 in the Commonwealth “El Barranco de las Cinco Villas” (Ávila). We have made numerous actions by the resident in different towns that form the Commonwealth related to environmental awareness population, promotion of forest resources, the sense of European citizenship and cultural exchange, promoting the acquisition of new skills among all participants and we have ensured the continuity of the project in the municipality thanks to the collaboration with associations of the place and its generalization to the different places of origin of the participants. For the development of the activity has been carried out non-formal methodology of work based on education by the action and the exchange of knowledge and experience, with which we implemented the skills of the participants and we have sent the message to the resident population in an attractive way. The participants from different countries through a coordinated and serving of new technologies such as email, facebook and tewtter, we have been responsible for designing the activities and the actions that have taken place during this period with the population of the Commonwealth and the subsequent proposals. We have carried out various activities within the framework of the promotion of forest resources and cultural exchange. Some of them are: a route around the area, taking advantage of the old Roman road that linked the five municipalities of the Commonwealth, have made wooden constructions using ropes and knots, designed a game for the children about the work of firefighters prevention and fire suppression "fire school" where he eventually became one of them, we made a presentation on fire prevention models in different countries participating in a hall of one of the towns open to the public, in this same place we discussed the drawings painting competition "My Forest" with the participation of all municipalities, we conducted a lipdub with teenager of a municipality with the theme "leave the world better than we found it", as well as various activities cultural exchange and discussions, roll-playing, a fictional trial of a real fire occurred in Portugal, theme nights with cuisine of each country, traditional dances and music, exchange casual games and ceremonies, evening gatherings. The project has had a very positive both for the participants of the various countries and their organizations and to the various municipalities that have developed impact. It has provided a more comprehensive view of the problem of fires in Europe, enabling knowledge sharing, working methods and habits. On the other hand it has managed to increase the capacity of expression, social action and entrepreneurship of each one of the participants, making their new ideas and projects impact on its scope. We are pleased with the response of the population, so that our work has brought new ideas to the previous awareness projects that had already taken place in the municipalities, thereby increasing their profits and their social and environmental impact. To promote the continuity of the project, various activities we design were aimed at the entire population of the municipality from the youngest to the oldest, as well as various associations of the Commonwealth, public institutions and municipalities in each of the villages. Finally mention the explicit commitment to promote the continuation of this project in time by each of the youth organizations from Spain, Portugal and Italy which we have participated.
