One Europe - Unified Labor Market Through Career Counseling

The reason for the project and its objectivesEuropean Union became, year by year, a unified labor market and a pool of university offer. Psychology students need a multidisciplinary view when preparing to become career counsellors. Thus, the academic input of professors and experts in career counselling, cultural diversity and European Union issues, should contribute, in a structured manner, to their professional development. The aims of the projectThis project aims to offer to the students of Psychology and the Social and Political Sciences specializations a new perspective over career counselling through a wider, European point of view:- Informing on specific EU issues relevant for graduates in their professional life- Brings knowledge on the EU labor market policies and on EU universities programmes and application procedures- Identifying the possibilities of receding the career stereotypes in an EU labor market- Understanding how the European diversity could be transformed in studying/working opportunities- Developing career counselling skills for future professionals who will support people in their decision to study/work in an EU member state- Brings knowledge on the particularities of different EU countries regarding culture, work, education, etc.- Identifying cross-borders links for working/studying in an EU state member.A concise description of the outputs, results and / or productsThe main result of the project will be kthe nowledge and skills to be acquired by the psychology and international relations students on an unfamiliar topic.Both direct and indirect beneficiaries will benefit from this projectDirect beneficiaries:- 525 students in Educational psychology, school and vocational counselling MA, in Clinical psychologi MA, and International Relation and European Studies- 100 participants at the conferenceIndirect beneficiaries - local community.
