ONCE AGAIN-ST ABANDON OPENING TO NEW COUNTRIES EXPERIENCES

It is important to know which are the reasons that characterise youngsters dropouts and their main needs. The present project is a follow up of the outcomes achieeved by the implementation of the pilot project Against Abandon (2003). The direct beneficiaries are guidance and counselling operators and the indirect beneficiaries and potential users are young dropout (14-24 year-old) and educational and training institutions (schools, vocational training centres, employment services, etc.). The project general goals are to open the reflection and experimentation to different countries from the ones involved in the previous project. It will be done by updating and integrating the competencies of training operators and professionals, valorising the reults of a wide range of previous projects and setting up a wider and permanent European network which will become a Pedagogical Resources Centre. The expected products will be a compendium of practices and experiences, a handbook on Territorial Analysis Techniques, a vocabulary glossary, an European Portal of Dispersion and School Abandon, on-line Courseware and communication tools on paper and TV.
