We are going to host volunteers in order to propagate the role of volunteering, the need for self-sufficiency and minimize the environmental impact. We are going to host 3 volunteers aged 21-30 tending to ecological lifestyle from Spain and France for 12/24 months.Volunteers will be the part of the ecocenter. They will participate in its operation and development.The goal of the ecocenter is to demonstrate how to live in a more harmonious connection to a nature and how to lower our environmental impacts. Part of ecocenter‘s goals is the education and that is the reason why we would like young people to participate. They will be able to see how ecocenter works and they can learn how to create one in the future. They will be more aware about a sustainable lifestyle.The ecocenter can serve as an example of a different lifestyle and it can as well become a business tool for them. The skills that they will learn will help them in the future as they can implement them into their lives in their countries. They become more employable and will be able to create similar projects there where they will end up. Volunteers will gain skills in workshop building venues and in organizing workshops, as well as in organic gardening and natural building. They will take care of the vegetable garden and orchard. They will theoretically and practically learn about all sorts of fruit trees varieties as well as about plant combination and permaculture. In our ecocenter we also specialize in traditional and many times forgotten handcrafts. We would like to popularize and spread those ancient and valuable skills among public. Main result of the project is gaining the knowledge and skills in those fields. With those skills participants will have better chances to either find the job or open their own businesses. Very significant is as well improving in foreign language. The project is excellent example of how to become a positive model for society as well as to motivate towards change by our own example.Through project and its publicity we will also increase interest in European project and European values.We are hoping to create new partnerships with similar organizations from program countries and potentially have them as lecturers in our ecocenter and vice-versa. We would like to spread the word about volunteering, our ecocenter and environmental issues in general and get supporters and volunteers. Our wish is to form young people that are able to start their own ecocenter in their countries as we did in Slovakia or at least to stick to the principles of sustainable living style.
