The school's project 'Dealing with new structures by means of a stronger strategic policy' matches the needs of the Brood- en banketbakkerijschool Ter Groene Poorte to put the standard of competency development in the picture, as well as to focus on all aspects of the school's organisation by means of the EFQM-model, especially now that the school faces a management on a bigger scale. This means that the school will have to work together on all possible levels - that includes Europ as well. It is exactly this future transition concerning reforming and scale that creates the background of the school's poject 'Dealing with new structures by means of a stronger strategic policy', as the school is on the lookout for better insights and instruments that increases our leadership, both inspirational and strategic, knowing that the outcome of the training will have an effect on all members of the school, as a team. We miss these high-level trainings in Flanders.
In order to realise that impact, the school has chosen for his staffmember to participate on the training 'Leading Schools into the Future'. He sets groups of people in the right direction and will sharpen the competences he needs as he is presently dealing with education on an organisational level, aiming at increasing the quality of education by conducting processes on a management level and make different groups of people work toghether and coach them in doing so.
The Brood- en banketbakkerijschool Ter Groene Poorte aims at working on a higher level than the daily educational routine. This includes starting from a vision that is then strategically translated into specific actions and bringing people together.
The methodology used by the school in order to carry out this project focuses on working together resulting in a higher level of participation, decision-making, deliberation and achievement. On short notice, this training will have an impact on the way in which people have to act strategically and inspirationally. On a half long and long term, this training will result into a higher degree of ownership from all the partners and stakeholders involved in the school's organisation. The school believes that participation, motivation and well-being are key-objectives in order to make the school better as a learning organisation, as well as helping the teacher developing learning processes and at last for the pupils who will score better results.
