Off The Wall Expanded is a film showcase shared by different film events in diverse territories. It will present emerging filmmakers from European countries – and by carefully curating their films as an appealing proposal with current relevance, it aims to reach wider audiences by implementing across Europe collaborations. Beyond festivals dates, the project impels the further circulation of the program in new cities, new exhibition circuits and VOD/SVOD platforms. It foresees moreover several actions that will deliver special materials let the experience be alive and traces to be followed by upcoming agents. OFF THE WALL (2014/2015), supported by Creative Europe, was premiered in November 2014 in different countries, and it went around different festivals, universities and special events. Q&A, panels, were organised together with the film program, being presented as a whole cultural experience, widing the audience beyond festival goers. OFF THE WALL Expanded (2016/2017) will bring the project to a new stage, with new territories joining, sharing the experience of previous partners, and supporting the presence of films in new venues and platforms beyond festival dates. This project states that curating titles under a strong concept and developed topic, adding value activities and crossover programming, can meaningfully help the approach to new public, increasing the interest amongst originally non-targeted film audiences. A group of experienced film experts, able to pick up films with possibilities to spread the quality of European cinema and recent history based in storytelling, will enrich the selection. The knowledge acquired on the first experience gives us the skills to compile an evolved version of the projects for the new partners and the ones that already enjoyed and keep growing the community around cinema. And implementing innovative actions for the dissemination of results, designing materials for deliver and going to DVD, VOD/SVOD & Theaters.
