The project will bring the possibility to pass work placement abroad to students of Business Academy Praha Ltd. The project focused on work placements abroad fits into the concept of education in our school. We strive to maximize links between lessons and practice. We emphasize the development of professional competencies of students, language training and development of their personality. We give the intercultural dimension to provided education and we try to incorporate it into the European framework. The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of professional practice of students. Thanks to staying abroad, participants will gain new experiences that they can use in their future studies, at work and in their private lives. Internship will bring participants expertise, skills and competencies. They will improve their English, get to know new cultural environment and gain life experience. The next aims of the project are acquisition of working habits, becoming familiar with real working environment and management style of organizations. Participants´ labour mobility and employability will increase. Another objective is to contribute to the personal development of the participants. Taking part in the internship will strengthen their independence, their ability to orientate themselves in a foreign environment and their adaptability. From the school´s point of view, strengthening cooperation with foreign partners and exchanging their experience and knowledge belong to the objectives of the project as well. The project will help us to build the image of a modern open school that provides quality education at European level and links teaching with practice as much as possible. Project´s participants will be students of the 2nd and 3rd year of a four-year field of study in Business Academy. They will be focused on international business, multimedia communication and business. We will send 24 students abroad (12 in the UK in Portsmouth and Birmingham and 12 in Ireland in Dublin and Cork). Three accompanying teachers will travel together with students. Participants will undergo foreign internships as part of their compulsory professional training. Placements will be four weeks long. Accommodation will be provided in host families. Before leaving for an internship, participants will have to pass preparatory lesson that will involve an English course, cultural, workl and organizational preparation. Internships will take place in small and medium enterprises and organizations in administration, business, marketing, IT and multimedia. Depending on the specific placement, participants will work on a PC with office software, work on the Internet and social networks, operate office equipment, deal with business correspondence and phone calls, work with documents, help with archiving, scanning, copying, they will check and sort documents, prepare invoices, they will seek new business partners, create and manage databases, perform inventory, work with accounting documents, attend meetings with business partners, carry out marketing activities, etc. The project will bring results especially in an intangible form. Project´s participants will receive a certified practice abroad that will bring them new professional knowledge, skills and competencies. Participants will use the acquired knowledge to further studies and subsequent entry into the labour market. The tangible outcomes of the project will include Europass Mobility, certificates from intermediary organizations, ECVET Placement evaluation, photographs, newspaper articles and articles presented on school website. The impact of the project on the sending organization will be an involvement in international cooperation, exchange of experience, improving teaching and building the reputation of the school. The project will build cooperation of our school with new foreign partners and will deepen the cooperation with current partners. The level of professional practice and teaching of English at school will increase. Thanks to the project professional development of project team members and accompanying persons will be supported. Acquired knowledge and experiences will be used in the preparation of new projects and incorporated into teaching. At European level, we see the impact of the project in promoting European activities in the field of labour mobility, youth employment, the development of foreign language skills, standardization and recognition of qualifications and the transfer and exchange of experience. The project implements a European qualification system ECVET and uses Europass Mobility, thereby contributes to the recognition of qualifications throughout the EU.
