Project fulfilled within the Erasmus+ program in cooperation with the European partner will enable to serve a foreign internship in Quedlinburg, Germany, for 24 apprentices from Zespół Szkół Usługowo-Gospodarczych w Pleszewie educating in hotel management techniques. This foreign internship will allow practical improvement of the qualification for apprentices of hotel management techniques, it will also increase a success rate and competitiveness of the school graduates on the national and European market. The main goals of the project are set to meet the need of creating the employment opportunities, improvement of the entrepreneurship among students, giving the direction of their further development, planning their career and improving their qualifications. Organizing the internship in Germany will also enable the youth to compare Polish and German working standards and providing services in the range of customer service within hotel management branch. The Europass certificate will give an European character to the learning process of Zespół Szkół Usługowo-Gospodarczych w Pleszewie and strengthen the graduates position on the tourism and hospitality labor market in EU and Poland. Fundamental goals of the project: 1. Improvement of the qualifications of the hotel management skills by knowing and comparing the standards of the hotel management in Poland and Germany. 2. Application of the acquired knowledge and skills by students in real working conditions. 3. Support of learning youth in acquiring knowledge, skills and qualification needed for increase of employability on the national and European labor market. 4. Increase attractiveness of educational offer and vocational training and increase of students mobility. The effect of participation in this project is getting new and improving the students’ owned skills within the professional customer care according to European standards, in particular skills: familiarization with the working organization of a hotel facility, upkeep of arrangement and cleanness in living unit, gastronomical dept work, reception work, familiarization with the organizational structure of the hotel, restaurant, SPA & Wellness, acquiring new working methods, knowing the guest operating system in hotel, restaurant, SPA & Wellness, training the ability to use variety of device in different workplaces. During the realization of the project, the undertaken operations and activities will allow to improve the skills of students learning in hotel management profession. The usage of acquired knowledge and skills in real working conditions will allow to know and compare the standards of the hotel management services in Poland and Germany. It will also increase the attractiveness of the vocational training offer and cause the increase of mobility of apprentices, increase of the level of knowledge on the European projects and EU values acquired by the participants of the project. It will also increase the level of motivation of the participant for their further learning process after the time they spent abroad as part of their mobility training. Thanks to the participation in this project the involved apprentices will improve their German language skills along with the specific branch vocabulary, they will also extend their cultural competence and the knowledge about our direct neighbor culture. They will have an ability to get to know with the specificity of working at different workplaces in German hotels and with the solutions applied in hotel management within the professional customer care. The rich internship program is intended to mold our apprentices to become unassisted, self-assured young people, improve their entrepreneurship and increase their employability in hotel management branch within the country and abroad. We anticipate that participation in the project will bring many long-term benefits to its participants. Beside acquiring professional competence and increase in employability in hotel management branch within Poland and Europe it will be beneficial for their personal development. They will become self-reliant, self-assured, flexible and composed people. Their interpersonal skills will grow, above all the ability to properly use teamwork and to overcome conflict situation. They will deepen theirs’ knowledge about foreign culture and form their emotional attitude toward partner country and its inhabitants, it will also increase their interest toward the country and other cultures. They will increase their German language skills and readiness to communicate in that language, it will also increase their desire to learn the language. Zespół Szkół Usługowo-Gospodarczych w Pleszewie intend to use the experience achieved by beneficiary and publish them on the school’s website. The effects of the project will be spread during the school’s celebrations and environmental events, with the local community participation.
