The project “Education vs. Poverty” aims the enrichment of the social and practical skills of children and young people, who are visiting the Center for information, consultation, training and support of Don Bosko Bulgaria foundation, in the Romany district “Lozenec”, town of Stara Zagora and the one in town of Kazanlak, by joining to the occupations of four volunteers from the Czech Republic, two girls who will be situated in town of Stara Zagora for eleven months with the opportunity also to work with the children and young people, who are visiting the Center in town of Kazanlak and two boys who will work in town of Kazanlak for eleven months too. The presence of the volunteers in the two Centers for information, consultation, training and support will give assistance to the Romany children and young people in accumulation of knowledge, will make their integration easier, because their social experience will be enriched and their initiatives will be encouraged. The spontaneity and creativity are qualities that we will aim to save and to “raise”.We expect also children and young people refugees to join the activities in the center in town of Stara Zagora. The volunteers will work also with them.Besides the taking part in the workshops, the volunteers will have the task to animate the free time of the children and young people, as well as to assist the organizing and holding the summer camps with them, the sport games and the other games in open air. The volunteers will take part in the organizing and conducting the trainings for Bulgarian volunteers /animators/ that the DBBF is conducting every three months. As a part from the team the volunteers will give a hand in the keeping and cleaning the material base. Naturally they will study Bulgarian and will contact very actively with the Bulgarian volunteers, who work in the both Centers. The volunteers in Kazanlak will take care for the library and also for the web site of the organization. The volunteers, that we choose to host, have experience in the work with children and young people. In the Czech Republic they have worked as volunteers in NGO’s on educational programs and they have taken part in summer camps. They have helped children with the school material.
