Date du début: 1 mai 2010,

The partnership between BAC (UK), HFadW (Netherlands) and OG (Belgium) (in association with Richard Jordan Productions) unites three leading theatre organisations pushing forward the boundaries of audience participation and interdisciplinary approaches to theatre. Linked by a fast and regular rail network, the 3 partners will explore a low-carbon model of international collaboration. The united ambition of this partnership is to nurture a new generation of Europe's most talented artists and creative producers through sustainable collaboration. The initial one-year programme will comprise of: 1) The Festival of Intimacy: a showcase of 40 leading UK based, Dutch and Belgian artists, alongside a 3-week Artists Residency Programme. The festival, will act as a platform for trans-national collaboration and critical debate to forge a new European genre of interdisciplinary theatre grounded in audience participation. 2) a European Cultural Leadership Programme: a programme of producer exchange and mentoring for 6 promising producers from Utrecht, Ghent and London. Tied into a broader programme of BAC producer networking events, the wider ambition of this programme is to develop the role of the trans-national creative producer. 3) The Symposium of Home and Sustainable Exchange: a symposium of each partner country's experience of residential programmes and international partnerships, with the goal to initiate critical discussion and the development of a sustainable European network of cultural institutions and individuals. 4) Profile of a low-carbon model of international collaboration: This programme will establish a network of partners and artists linked by a fast and regular 3 hour train journey radius of Brussels, and explore the potential of online collaboration for International artists. This co-operation project will draw on anticipated support from the Dutch Theatre Institute, Vlaams Theater Instituut and the British Council.
