We come from Poland and the Ukraine and we are sixteen to thirty years old. The group from Poland is associated with Greek Catholic Youth Association Sarepta. The group from the Ukraine is associated with the religious community of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church dedicated to St. Martyrs Vira, Nadija and Lubow and their mother Sofia. The main aim of our project is developing new skills and fulfilling singing which is our passion.We met together during the singing workshops in the Ukraine. The mentioned workshops inspired us to organize the meeting of two choirs from Poland and the Ukraine. During the meeting we would like to work on: voice emission, proper body posture during signing, to learn the melody line for individual voices and practice together polyphonic songs.The result of our work will be presented at two concerts for the local community. One of the concerts will be held in Nowica, a small village in the Beskid Niski in the Southern Poland, the place where we are planning to stay during our worksops. The second concert will take place in Krynica-Zdrój, local health resort, which is frequently visited by patients and tourists.Learning singing together helps to shape a number of key competences which assist in self-realization and personal development. It supports the process of social integration and builds self-esteem. It also supports the process of learning and exercises our memory. It can be helpful in gaining subsequent stages of education or professional life.An additional objective of our meeting will be learning about the culture, traditions and history of the neighboring country. During the exchange we would like to get to know colleagues from other country, their culinary habits and their preferences about music and films. We also plan to invite residents of the surrounding area for shared learning. In this way we will learn more about interesting history of this part of the Beskid Niski.
