Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main objective of the project was an increase of international mobility of teaching and administrative staff for the purpose of improving both language and professional competence as well as the exchange of experiences between the educational institutions in Poland and in Great Britain. The specific objectives of the project were: - English language skills improvement among the project participants, - gaining new abilities within the scope of usage of modern technologies ICT and creating Open Educational Resources, - development of international cooperation in education. The project was aimed at 20 secondary and vocational teachers and 4 administrative workers of the Zespół Szkół Zawodowych Nr 2 in Starachowice (secondary technical school). Its beneficiaries were qualified teachers of long-standing teaching experience together with administrative workers with higher education in economics. The project corresponds with the school’s needs which solicits for increasing attractiveness of vocational education along with enhancing its quality. These processes are impossible without its fundamental element being a competent, open, mobile, creative, able to speak foreign languages worker freely moving on the labour market. Therefore, the primary effect of the project is the language and professional progress of the teachers and the school administrative staff, as well as familiarity and implementation of modern pedagogical solutions with the use of up-to-date information and communication technologies applied in other countries through attending the English language course and observing the work conditions in a British school. The teachers were acquainted with the British educational system, especially the vocational education and systems of training courses. The activities within the project contributed to great development of English language skills, fostering communication with the partners that in the future will provide a space for further and better exchange of experience and collaboration with institutions and persons from other countries. The knowledge of English language is required to use free online tools and teaching materials, such as Khan Academy, Pow Toon (creating multimedia presentations, exploiting the wide range of templates), Learning Apps.org (creating interactive applications to use during lessons), www.glogster.com (creating interactive posters), www.zondle.com (creating educational games) etc. It will also encourage the non-ELT teachers to use the e-Twinning platform and will allow them to work in an international environment. The project was accomplished with the help of Polaris EU Enterprise Limited and cooperation with the City of Wolverhampton College.
