The project „New experiences, knowledge and international cooperation - a chance for development for The Primary and Nursery School Unit No 6 in Rzeszów – Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny nr 6 w Rzeszowie will introduce new experiences connected with methods and forms of teaching and a new look on the didactic and educational processes. We want to raise the vocational qualifications of the cadre within the Action 1 of the programme Erasmus+, which involves the educational mobilities of teachers of The Primary and Nursery School Unit No 6 in Rzeszów, in order to introduce bilingual teaching of general education subjects, with the use of ICT, CLIL method and to carry out the projects with the use of eTwinning platform and the Action 2 of Erasmus+, in the future after the former preparation. The aim of the project is: - extending the educational offer of school and making it more interesting, - developing the abilities connected with the teachers` educational profile - forming the habit of continual learning, gaining new qualifications and developing the teacher’s workshop (improving the teaching methods used heretofore and implementing the new ones), - gaining knowledge, pedagogical experience and the opportunity for exchanging opinions connected with the curriculum through the contacts with teachers from other European countries, - developing the language abilities of the cadre and the students in the perspective of everyday teaching English in the nursery (5 minutes with English every day) and bilingual teaching of general subjects in the primary school, - encouraging cooperation with teachers from European schools and carrying out international projects, - preparing the cadre for cooperation aimed at innovation and exchanging the good practice within the scope of projects such as eTwinning and Erasmus + Action 2, - accustoming the students to establishing contacts with students from European countries in order to assist practical development of their language abilities and ICT through the social networking sites, eTwinning platform and the participation in the mobilities available in the Action 2 of Erasmus+, in the future. The number of participants: There will be 14 teachers from our School Unit, representing the primary school and the nursery, excelling in creativity and engagement, who are going to be directly involved in the project. They are nursery and lower-primary teachers, teachers of English, German, Polish, Maths, ICT, Science and the common room educator. The teachers have been chosen according to the precisely determined criteria taking into account the needs of the project. These are people who are eager to raise qualifications and change the school in order to assist the development of the school and they are also open to the international cooperation in the future. The main action of the chosen group will be gaining the knowledge and experience, passing the knowledge gained during the mobilities down to employees and students of The Primary and Nursery School Unit No 6 in Rzeszów and to take actions which will lead to the development of the school. Taking part in the international training courses: 1) three teachers of English, two teachers of Maths, one teacher of Science, one ICT teacher – taking part in the methodical courses; 2) four nursery teachers and four general education teachers – taking part in the foreign language courses. Methodology used in carrying out of the project: 1) the analysis of the school needs – before the beginning of the project; 2) the analysis of individual needs of the participants of the project connected with the mobility, defining them on the card of achievement of the aims, monitoring the card during the teaching courses; 3) developing the plan of implementation of those pedagogical, methodogical, organisational and other solutions, which will aid the realisation of the European plan of development of our school. The results of the project: - gaining foreign language and ICT abilities by the cadre, - gaining the methodical knowledge which will lead to organising interesting classes, such as the ones with the use of the CLIL method, - acquiring knowledge about the EU countries, their culture, historic sites and traditions, - establishing international contacts, - gaining the ability of writing the international educational projects and starting international cooperation. Long-term advantages for the school: - bilingual teaching – we will provide our students with the basis of bilingual education, which can be continued at schools and universities in Rzeszów, - international cooperation will be a permanent element of the programme of our School Unit and in the perspective of a few years it will enable our students and teachers to carry out interesting projects with the participation of foreign partners, - the increase of the attractiveness and the prestige of the School Unit in the local area.
