The "New country, new experience – how cars are produced in the neighbouring countries 2" project has evolved on the basis of fulfilling the 2014-2018 school strategy. Among the main goals are above all gaining new experience and development of current specialist knowledge not only of the students but also of the teachers. Another goal of this project is internationalization of students and teachers by improving their foreign language skills and cultural awareness. Last but not least, they should be introduced to the dual education system which is standard by all our project partners. Moreover, the connection between theory and practical experience directly in the production should be strengthened. The project participants are teachers of technical subjects, who will take part in the 2-week internship in the form of “shadowing” the teachers and specialists in the laboratories and plants of Volkswagen Braunschweig and Audi Ingolstadt. There will be three teachers of our school who are teaching the following subjects: pneumatics and automation, car electronics and CNC machining. The goal of this specialist internship is to get to know modern technical systems and technologies of the partner plants. Thanks to realization of this internship the specialist knowledge of the teachers will be deepened and they will not only be able to pass this knowledge to their students but also play a role of knowledge multiplicators for their colleagues. This knowledge and strengthening of soft skills and language skills will further contribute to the rising quality of education at Škoda Auto Vocational School. Second, students of the Škoda Auto Vocational School will participate in this project, going through internships in our partner companies. In total 56 students from 9 branches of study will gradually go through 2-6 weeks internships in production departments of AUDI Ingolstadt and Volkswagen AG in next two school years. Practical experience at Volkswagen will be organized in the following plants: Kassel, Braunschweig, Emden and Poznaň. The students will be divided into the individual plants according to their subjects of study. In the long term we expect that the internship will not only bring new experience, knowledge and skills to the students, but also motivate them for further personal and professional development, support their mobility in the future and increase their employment chances on the job market. The realization of the project will also contribute to fulfilling general and specific goals of Erasmus+ programme and by extension also to fulfilling goals of the European Commission in the area of education and youth.
