NOVA e-MED – Innovative e-Learning in Reparative Medicine

Recent developments in public health, biomedicine and biotechnology, together with specific ethical and legislative problems initiate the need for improvement of professional qualifications of specialists working in the area of reparative medicine. This indicates the importance of innovative knowledge and relevant e-learning established in a new e-learning programme for reparative medicine. The NOVA e-MED project offers an innovative programme with relevant e-content for training. It is based on efficient technical and methodological strategies for improvement of trainees’ skills and abilities and presents new practices for searching, processing, delivering and exchange of specialised information. The curriculum in reparative medicine (high-tech biomedical technologies for disease treatment and life extension) will include the following modules: stem cells therapy, governance of human stem cells research and application, complementary issues (glossary) and the elaboration of computer based e-learning in reparative medicine. The project addresses to young graduates, undergraduates from colleges and universities, young specialists, biologists, biotechnologists, physicians, health care managers, and GP professionals out of the following sectors: health care, care for health, care for diseases, care for prophylactics, social care, biotechnology, bio medicine. Potential users are colleges, universities, public and private training bodies in public health, formal and non-formal training bodies. To valorise the project outcomes specific dissemination and exploitation strategies are developed. Dissemination will consist mainly of using and extending the partners networks, including the search for alliances of partnerships during the project life. Exploitation of results will be accomplished using good practices in recognition/validation of the results through relationships with policy and decision makers.
