Nordic Youth Meeting - Make it, Do it, Love it!

Saku Youth Center in partnership with organizations from Finland, Lithuania, Denmark, Russia and Armenia is organizing an international youth exchange „Nordic Youth Meeting – Make it, Do it, Love it!“ The youth exchange takes place from 22.08.2014 till 28.08.2014. In addition a preparation meeting takes place from 22.07.2014 till 25.07.2014, which also includes the participation of the youth, so that they would partake maximally in all the stages of the project. 48 people will partake in the projct of whom 36 are youngsters and 12 are the group leaders. The main objective of the project is to increase the knowledge of the youth on minimalizing consumption and of the environment around us. Also the other main objective is to improve the youth’s social and personal skills through various team-oriented activities. During the exchange the youth will be introduced to different stereotypes from different nations and learn to prevent prejudices. In addition they will learn about different cultures and improve intercultural communication. Project provides with practical experiences on how to recycle different materials. Based on their experiences and knowledge they later will be able to conduct different workshops on environmental topics. Also they will get project management experiences, which will result in improved self-confidence and improvedd social skills. The youth will lose their prejudices about different cultures futhermore their tolerance and cohesion will improve. In addition as a result of the project youth will understand youth work better and are motivated to contribute into it’s further development. We will introduce the European Youth program and it’s possibilities to the youth, which will result in a bigger initative by the youth. The Participants will also be granted a Youth Pass, where their analyzed learning experiences are written.
