In order to increase the level in mineral and mining research has Lulea Technical University and Oulu University intention to start knowledge wise a strong and leading platform with focus on following areas: • Strengthen effectiveness and quality in education and research • Stimulate contacts in order to make cross border moving easier • To have an developing role in mineral and mining and its present and future companies • Form a collected cross border and attractive education environment • Become an attractive research partner from an international perspective Objective and aim Through a strong co-operation between the universities form a collected cross border and attractive education and research environment within metallurgy and mining. It will contribute to increased attractions and competitiveness in the North Calotte area.
