Increasing the quality and efficiency of education and training, which is a strategic goal of education in Europe(ET 2020) and the need to prepare the workforce with prefessional akills required by the labor market in health is one of the major objectives of the Technical College Stefan Milcu. The degree of insertion of school graduates in the labor market is small because they do not have the practical skills required by the labor market and not sufficiently prepared to integrate into diverse cultural, linguistic and social Europe.Creating strategic partnerships with mechanic units in Europe and expanding mobility opportunities for trening can make education more attractive to the pupils, helping them to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies that will make them more prepared and more competitive European labor market.The project New learning opportunities for an easy transition from school to labor market increases the quality in education and training helping them to become better able to integrate on the national and european labor market, responding to training needs identified both school level and at local and regional level to train manpower in mechanics. Participants in the project were 20 students from the XI grade, technical field, level 4, qualifications of mechanic technician in maintenance and repair and CAD technician designer who have completed an european training placement in the period 20 february- 12 march in the MARIOS PETINOS CONSTRUCTIONS AND DEVELOPERS LTD and CARALAMBOS MICHAEL METAL WORKS, CITY Paphos, Cyprus. During the 3 weeks(90 hours) foster the trening participants have formed and improved specific skills modules health and safety and electronic circuits. Professional skills of the participants were assessed on the basis of practical tests by tutors and recorded in the Europass Mobility. They were recognized as acquired bythe students of Stefan Milcu Technical College, being rated at the professional trening modules. At the end of the trening placement the 20 participants improved their proffesional skills specific to these modules, with skills and new skills, which will further transition easier participants from school to work. They have in-debth knowledge and practical skills developed in the field of mechanics as well as the skills of usingadvanced mechanical technologies. The 20 student interns have acquired new skills and communication skills in English language, social and cultural experience and got acquainted with European values.Experience working in an european unity and the skills of using advanced technology has opened new opportunities for participants to work on the european labor market in mechanics.Working in a multicultural team , familiarising with european values enriching the language skills and cultural communication ,pratising professional communication in a multicultural team and with persons with different cultural backgrounds, social experience and culture in an European country will make those 20 students better prepared to work ,to integrate in different cultural contexts and to actively participate in society. The project contributed to the development of international strategy of Stefan Milcu Technical College, increase the capacity to operate at european level, the establishment of partnerships with mechanical profile in Europe, in creating new european apprenticeships, helping to improve the quality of education and trening provided by Stefan Milcu Technical College, diversification and attractive educational offer ,adaptation to the specific formation of the european labor market and even facilitating employment of graduates from partner facilities.The impact on local and regional level by increasing the quality of nurses and promotingnew types of learning contribute to increasing the capacity of the VET system to adapt trening to the needs of the qualifications required by emplyers in mechanics and increasind insertion of graduates on the national and european labor market.
