The area of Nógrád county in the 19th century corresponds to today´s area of Neogradiensis Euroregion; the natural and architectural values, the artistic, scientific and cultural achievements of the common past were preserved, however, due to the spatial separation these are less significantly present in both countries. Our common interest is to treat and present these values from a scientific perspective. In the course of a joint programme the partners intend to create a value map and an institutional network of cultural human resources as a result of cooperating in a joint network. Achievements: In the past, Balassagyarmat and Lučenec used to belong to the same county of Nógrád-Novohrad. The good relationship between the two cities still exists, however there is no formal or informal basis for solving similar or common problems. Cooperation between the public institutions is limited or rudimentary. The project aimed to change this situation and to identify and connect the particular experts in the field of natural and cultural heritage, art, literature and create a loose network in the area of the Nógrád-Novohrad Euroregion. To this end, the partners created the Neogradiensis Euroregion Value Map to collect famous representatives and pieces of art and literature from the past from this region. These values were scientifically processed and presented to the public.
