Project No labels, just people is a youth exchange with programme countries Slovenia, France, Poland, Portugal and Macedonia. It starts on 1. 8. 2014 and ends on 30. 11. 2015 (16 months). The theme of the exchange was chosen by ex EVS volunteers in Slovenia (from Slovakia and Poland) who noticed that there are too many stereotyps and prejudices in Slovenian everyday life. Furthermore they noticed with the volunteers from the NGO who is applying the project, that young people are also really reserved and have no basic knowledge about other cultures and do not understand social inclusion at all.
Each country will participate with 5 persons; 4 of them young people (at least one of them will be a youngster with fewer opportunities) and one youth leader. Participants will be from 16 to 25 years old and both genders will be equally represented. There will be advanced planned visit from 25. to 26. 11. November 2014 in Kr?ko where 10 people involved in the project will meet and plan the details of the activities (5 group leaders and 5 young participants).
The main objectives of the project are to spread the awareness about EU topics, to involve disadvantaged young people into activities, to use art and creativity as tools for gaining new experience, knowledge and skills in informal learning. Young people will meet in Kr?ko, Slovenia on 27. 2. 2015 and work together until 7. 3. 2015. The main activities are about informal learning (using Youthpass, Europass), finding out about democracy, EU institutions, Erasmus + programme, good practice in youth work, intercultural learning, understanding marginalisation, social inclusion and exclusion, fewer opportunities. Young people will work for each other, that means that they will try to organize some of the activities, with the help and support of the group leaders who have years of the experience with youth work. Young people will also make some short movies, stories and photos about social exclusion, marginalisation and stereotypes. They will work with different NGO-s from Kr?ko and their young people who are dealing with some difficulties in their lives. Afterwards they will make an event where they will present their results of the project. They will also make some events (at least 2 in each partner country) about the project. During they staying in Kr?ko they will also be hosted on the local TV show and local radio. The project will be recognized also in public as all the partners will constantly write articles about the project and send it to the media. The used methodology will be mostly participatory kind, involving, engaging, learning by doing, group work, sharing knowledge and skills. We will also use some inovative methods as snow ball, hot chair,? The impact of the project will be on the participants, partner organizations, local NGO-s, media, local community in general. Hopefully all the mentioned groups of people will be more awared about the chosen themes of the exchange and will become a better people, neighbours, friends, teachers, ? in the future. Moreover we expect to see the results even after the project officially ends as the materials will stay forever (photos, short movies, stories on Youtube, on the walls in EU organizations). Young people will fill in their own Youthpass at the end of the activities in Kr?ko.
