Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Project titled "Niech wypowie język, co wymyśli głowa" consists of 26 teachers. Half of them are certificated / diploma teachers and have been teaching for many years gaining vast experience. We have 3 foreign languages teachers, 16 teachers of various subjects and 4 learning difficulty support teachers, as well as one Prinicipal and two deputy Principals. The aim of the project is to acquire and improve language qualifications of the teaching staff, to deepen knowledge of modern methods, to develop our cultural knowledge and to improve our computer skills. All this will ensure our students will gain comprehensive development and the necessary indispensable skills for further education. Communicating in a foreign language is one of principal social competences essential in an ever changing world. Teachers at our school are fully aware of the necessity in improving their language skills as one of the key element of their working environment. Within planned activities our school they will take part in both language basic and advanced courses. A very important aspect is also active participation in various subject courses; this will give the teachers a chance to extend their knowledge within the methodology of teaching on particular subjects. Participation on the following courses will directly influence the improvement of quality of education in our school: 1) Language courses 2) Subject courses run in English 3) Language and methodology courses in connection with experiencing the culture of a given country 4) Content and language integrated learning (CLIL courses) 5) “Special Needs” courses 6) ICT courses 7) Montessori courses The acquirement and improvement of language skills will improve not only their personal competences but first of all, in natural way, it will increase the quality of professional work in everyday educative practice (eg. The integration of the English language into various subjects). Furthermore, both acquiring new language skills and the understanding of European educational systems will improve the functioning of our institution. We will be looking to introduce innovative and more effective work standards. We will also be talking about the managing of the education post itself and applying new trends in teaching the various subjects, which are more and more set in digital domain. Thus, development of the teachers computer competences will in affect the rationalization of the same competences of our pupils. All this will favorably influence their future in a world which relies more and more on a computerize society. The very essence is also that participation of our school in this project will have a great impact on main specialization of school work, that is to say teaching special needs pupils. Taking into consideration the greater number of children growing up today with a variety of disabilities (eg. autism or lighter degree of learning difficulty), participation of teachers in that kind of courses that will allow new skills to be brought to bear into the everyday working environment which in turn will greatly influence the position of our school on educative market and within local environment. This is the long term goal from the project. Summing up, following dr Maria Montessori words we shall remember that: "Education should no longer be mostly imparting of knowledge, but must take a new path, seeking the release of human potentialities." Montessori, M. (1946/1989).
