PROJET
TERMINÉ
Many NGOs all over Europe have begun to understand that a wide range of knowledge, skills, and strategies in the context of European projects are extremely necessary to achieve concrete results, develop a greater local impact, and continue to be competitive in order to contribute to the overall development of a local community. So currently, the management of NGOs requires increasingly complex and sophisticated tools and skill sets.
This project was born as a follow-up of the previously successfully realised project of VET learning mobilities in the frames of the "Leonardo Da Vinci" European programme. Together with the partners, inspired by the success and the concrete outcomes of the previous project, we still felt the need to builds awareness of the opportunities accessible through non-formal learning, like personal development, job placement, encouragement of self-employed roles and entrepreneurship, and to promote a European culture among young people, especially those who finish VET schools and are still not able to find their place at a labour market.
The main objective of the project is, therefore, to capture the interest of young people, the recent graduates from a VET schools and companies, through professional training abroad and give them the hands-on experience and skills necessary to manage NGOs and, in the greater context, European project management. This will allow for the greater employability of young people, as they will be able to transfer and implement the skills they have acquired abroad during their internships with local NGOs, ultimately bringing a new methodology of work closely linked to a dimension of intercultural work practices and European development. The following skills are covered in the project: administrative and fiscal management for non-profit organisations, strategic planning, project management, fund-raising, communication and marketing for non-profit organisations, communication strategies, working group abilities, and human resource management.
The internships will involve 30 French participants. The duration of each stage is 2 months at 4 Hosting Partner NGOs: Together Luxembourg, Together Estonia, EFM and 196paesi. A great part of the available places will be awarded to disadvantages young people with different religion, different race and ethnic origins, unemployed, or from a difficult economical situation.
The 30 participants will be an integral part of the NGO and project management activities and in the management of the association assigned to. There are clearly defined operational objectives in relation to the vocational target groups: to deepen and develop specific technical and professional competences and experiment with new methodologies in non-formal education and Validation of the training and its transferability to similar actions and projects. This means that the training is not rigidly planned, but rather is structured for the long-term learning process and the opportunity to stimulate relations and contribute to local productivity in the follow-up phase of the mobility.
We believe that this project will have the following results:
-Development of a professional figure known as a “Europroject Manager”. This may address the need for competitiveness and innovation among local NGOs, bringing them into the European network of interest through the constitution of strategic partnerships;
-Improvement of language as well as intercultural competences of the trainees, but also improvement of the level of key competences and skills that will help them to find better their place at the labour market and to contribute in a better way to a cohesive society;
-Enhancing ICT uptake in the training activities realised;
-Reinforcement of local NGOs through the consulting services and job placements of trainers;
-Development of self-employment and entrepreneurship. We aim to have at least 3 trainees of 30 participants that will create new local NGOs;
-Reinforcement of territorial NGO, as well as international networks in the field of Project Management (Create 100 new contacts for building a local partnership and have the ability to participate in the European Call of Proposal and that would foster in general the improvement and innovation through transnational cooperation between various education providers and other stakeholders;
-Increase the awareness among youths for European Life-long Learning opportunities;
-Promoting recognition tools and make them recognisable across the boarders.
