New start

Project "New start" involved one volunteer and two organizations: Stowarzyszenie "Jeden Świat" (Poland) acting as sending organization and Vaiku ir paaugliu socialinis centras (Lithuania) acting as receiving organisation. Activity took place between October 2014 and September 2015. The Polish volunteer spent 12 months in Lithuania working with youth with fewer opportunities and social excluded youth. Activities contributed to development of youth policies, especially those addressed to youth with fewer opportunities and focusing on greater social inclusion. What's more, project equiped the volunteer with new competences, which could help her to find herself better both in the society and the labour market. As a result, it contributes to fighting youth unemployemnt amongst young Europeans. Activity positevely benefited the local community too, contributing to promoting activism, democracy and mutual understanding amongst nations.
