New Professional Attitude through Europe
Date du début: 1 oct. 2015, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

New P.A.Th Europe is a project presented by a Consortium constituted of: A.P.I.C. as project coordinator, Consorzio Pegaso Network, Dieffe, Istitutione Culturale Don Carlo Gnocchi and Istituto Valle. These are all institutions with a vast experience in education and professional training. New P.A.Th Europe aims to contribute to the professional training of 100 youngsters, students, recent graduates and apprentices that have to start their professional life. The project aims to provide placements in multiple sectors, with particular attention to tourism, social, commercial, graphic, photography and media. The aim of the project is to improve professional, personal and transversal competences of the beneficiaries, in order to make them more competitive in the job market, and to develop a better understanding of the meaning of Europe and European citizenship. This competences are considered by many as lacking inside the youngsters that start looking for jobs for the first time, making not only their job search difficult, but also the possibility of improving their knowledge and consequently being less competitive in an economy that is increasingly globalised. We intend to give young people an opportunity of growth in their professional formation in order to facilitate the acquisition and utilisation of knowledge, competences and qualification, to facilitate personal development and participation to the job market in a European dimension. The work placement abroad will give them the means to choose their path consciously. The objectives of the project gain more relevance in this times of economic recession, that hit production activities in particular. So today, the need to broaden the horizons of personal experiences of the subjects involved in the formation processes appears even stronger, with the aim of giving instruments and knowledges to face the new challenges of the the job market. The beneficiaries will have the possibility to undertake a 6 weeks work placement in Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, leading countries in the reference sectors The hosting partners that we choose have many years of experience in the mobility sector, so that they can guarantee good quality of organisation of the project in every aspect (linguistic, professional and human). The groups departures are expected from January to August 2016. The project structure plans a preparation phase in Italy and 6 weeks of stay in the hosting country, where a week of intensive language preparation will be included. The project will be followed by every responsible body belonging to the Consortium which will have the duty of preparing, accompanying and monitoring the participants. Being this the first experience abroad for the students, and to be able to evaluate better the programmed steps, we deemed necessary adding professional group leaders that can verify the learning process of the participant by visiting the groups in the middle of their mobility experience. An administrative officer of the coordinating body of the Consortium will take care of the administrative part. New P.A.Th Europe is born from the results of suggestions received from beneficiaries and partners of previous projects organised by APIC. APIC always held surveys addressed to the participants to verify and confirm the results and objectives achieved. A research carried out on participants of the latest APIC projects revealed that: 85% of the beneficiaries recognised that their prospective on finding a job are better, and that 56% found a job in the sector within few months from the end of the project, and only 21% was still jobless or continued their studies. The project is also born from the emerging need of being able to validate competences acquired during a work placement experience with the recognised and accredited instruments: as a matter of fact the acquisition of professional competencies with a mobility experience is not sufficient anymore to be able to enter the job market, in order to do so it is necessary to have the possibility to demonstrate in a practical and tangible way that this competences have been acquired. To allow this to happen, the New P.A.Th Europe project is proposing the experimenting of new website, realised thanks to the improvements and translations of ESA, an idea conceived with the help of the British Partner ETS UK, that will allow to insert and show the competences acquired during the mobility project. From what we know, this website is unique in his objectives of documenting competencies acquired during a mobility period, and we are confident that it can be of potential help for future Institutions.
