"New Perspective on Employability" is practical training course for youth workers, teachers, social workers and people who work with young people who want to learn, develop their skills and increase their chances on the labor market. The training supports youth workers and youth leaders to explore the theme of employability.The training is organized by informal group of young people Play It Big in autumn 2016, from 4th to 12th September 2016 in Dobrá Voda in Slovakia.The aim is to strengthen and expand the capacity of youth workers and youth leaders in supporting young people, their entrepreneurship and employability.Project objectives are:• to develop key competencies of participants that are necessary to support youth employment such as understanding social and cultural differences, cooperation, teamwork, responsibility, communication, openness, initiative, creativity etc.• to provide coaching tools to support young unemployed people in order for participants to use them in their work• to reflect on their own role as a youth worker and the role of youth organizations to support young people and their employability• to develop a set of basic intercultural competencies of participants, so that they can apply the methods in their practise• to develop entrepreneurship of participants by creating their own projects and thought coaching methods• to implement a system for supporting youth workers in the work on their own projects; experience how this support system works through their own experience and acquire skills needed for its implementation• to name and explore competencies necessary for young people to be successful on the labour market and develop the competencies eg. project management, self-reflection, creativity etc.• to try out these competencies through their own projects and have the support from the team and feedback on their work• to encourage new forms of cooperation between sectors, to interconnect them and to ensure exchange of experiences and create a network with common activities• to be able to share experiences, exchange ideas and best practice and to establish quality partnerships with colleagues from other European countriesParticipants will act as multipliers, who will try a new approach to increasing employment and apply newly acquired skills in working with young people in their local communities.We will have 30 participants from 15 partner organizations and from 13 countries, plus two trainers and two team members, in total 34 participants.We will use a whole range of methods and activities of non-formal education as group work, simulations, discussion, etc. We will keep the main training framework, however we also want to leave a part of the program in the hands of participants who themselves determine what competencies still need to be developed training in order to achieve the desired learning outcomes. The training will have a strong experiential dimension. We will provide participants with a complex learning experience which integrates the intellectual, emotional and physical level through carefully designed both individual and community processes. In our work we use the following tools: The Way of Council, The Hero's Journey, Open Space, World Café, Storytelling, Coaching and Facilitation.We expect that after the project our participants will be better equipped to work with young people,they will be able to support them and help them on their way to employment, entrepreneurship or increasing their competencies. Organizations will have workers and young leaders who are better prepared to work and support young people and who can with help prepare a quality educational activities in their organizations. Participants will have a better intercultural understanding and will be equipped with tools to enhance intercultural awareness in their organizations and work. Our intention is to improve the quality of work with young people in the participating organizations and also encourage the creation of a platform for exchanging experiences, sharing good practices and the creation of new forms of cooperation between formal and non-formal sector.We expect the following impact: increased competencies of youth workers (for details see "E.2. The learning outcomes"), improved quality in youth work in the participating organizations, reduced unemployment, increased intercultural awareness, increased awareness about Erasmus Plus Programme and non-formal education, enhanced cooperation between formal and non-formal sector, enhanced international dimension of youth activities.
