New Opportunities for short term EVS

Association des Compagnons Bâtisseurs would like to carry out a contact making event in order to fulfill one global aim : to increase the chances for youngsters with fewer opportunities to participate in a qualitative short term EVS of one or two months duration.Our project should allow:- to increase the opportunities for volunteers and youngsters to be involved in a mobility project;- to promote European cooperation in the youth field;- to build a relation of trust and mutual understanding, in order to collaborate efficiently;- to widen our knowledges about each other missions and projects;- to exchange experiences and “best practices”; - to clarify open questions and problems;- to ensure common agreement and active participation from the beginning of project.This Contact Making Event will gather 23 youth workers, representing 14 organisations from 12 countries interested in working with youngsters with fewer opportunities through short term EVS projects;It will take place in Harsin (Belgium), from June 06th to 10th 2016.Participating countries: Belgium, Estonia, Greece, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey.Working methods: non formal education methods based on peer to peer approach, experimentation, creative thinking methods, and discussion groups.The activity will be a contact making event focusing on the agreement upon common methods to implement when dealing with short term EVS projects; and the creation of new collaborations and synergies. The event will last five days and will be held in Belgium, in Harsin. Staff of the partner organizations will be participants in the event; they will be all involved in the management and implementation of short term EVS projects for youngsters with fewer opportunities. The final outcomes will be:- a document compiling the agreements on common methods made during the event- new partnerships leading to new projects for youngsters with fewer opportunities. This result will be spread among the participating organisations, the Alliance members and partners, as well as any other organisation interested in the topic. This seminar will use both informal, interactive and highly participative methods, but also some more formal experience and good practices sharing.Every partner will have the responsibility to recruit the most adequate person to represent their organization, their activities, and their action with short term EVS in particular. This person should be able to spread the results of the event within their organization. The expected impacts of this event are:- To increase the number and the quality of short term EVS projects for youngsters with fewer opportunities;- To have shared working methods allowing us to work with efficiency;- To have a network of trustworthy partners;- To encourage more organisations to create short term EVS projects.
