Rapprochement between East and West via language : The partners in the project “new forms of communication in trade”, five vocational training colleges in Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany and Romania, have developed a new audio-lexical method for learning foreign languages, in this case, commercial Dutch and German. In addition to the improvement in the mobility prospects of the budding commercial staff, they are seeking a (not only) cultural rapprochement between Eastern and Western partners in Europe. This project started in 2000 and lasted 24 months.
