New Educational Models that Encourage Creative transfer of Competence and Acquaintance in LL

EduMECCA aims at raising the awareness and expand learning skills by implementingthe unique, brand new inquiry- and problem based blended learning ABT methods(MECCA LdV pilot project, 05-07) in two lifelong learning training sectors: welders andwelder engineers in Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Sweden and Norway. The consortiumhas strong ties to mechanical industry, expertise in blended (distance) learningmethods, and video technologies, and information and knowledge engineering, leadingto identification of inadequacies in innovation and standards for effective trainingdelivery. The partnership has complementary expertise and tasks. They havecooperated successfully previously. The outputs include• Implement targeted seminars for knowledge sharing and promotion of ABT creativeskills in LLL in 5 European societies• Identify good practices• Foster creativity through innovative ICT enhanced learning solutions• Dissemination activities aiming at promoting the implementation of new pedagogicalmethods by providing independent advice and support through online guidanceservices• Limited development a new open conversational flexible low-cost problem basedframework that introduces iSelect learning objectsThe impact envisaged is to disseminate ABT methodologies in 5 European countries toVET schools offering welding education, and adapt and introduce ABT methods tohigher educational institutions that train adult personnel from mechanical industry.Cascading of training methods are achieved by disseminating knowledge to 10% ofEuropean VET schools (4500) and 10% of higher educational institutions with undergraduateprograms (80) in Europe. The targeted number of information and contactpoints is: 500 (NO), 2000 (SE), 1500 (SL), 1800 (SK) and 5000 (HU). Institutions fromthe two educational sectors may use the new ABT methods to offer a broad range ofspecialized courses at a European level, since ABT follows the European WeldingFederation guidelines for harmonized qualifications, examinations and certifications
