ALSUD school worked for 24 years in the vocational education directed to young people between 16 and 22 years, coming from Mértola municipality, border municipalities, other places on Portugal or even from Africa portuguese speaking countries. AlSUD is located in a village museum and nature park on the southeast interior of Portugal, in close to Spain territory with a common historical and cultural heritage.The dominant socio-economic context in the youth population of ALSUD are vulnerable and often the personal and professional development of students are conditioned by that problem.This project responds to the desire of the school to boost the work at European level, to increase it attractiveness, to meet other teaching methodologies and good organizational practices in vocational education and to provide students with diverse experiences of personal and professional enrichment that enable them to acquire new social and professional skills.The project lasts for 18 months, includes the development of activities for students and recent graduates, promoting the approach to language and the neighboring country's culture and also to European values. It´s also an objective to enable professional experience in their vocational studies, supplemented buy a culturally rich environment, as mobility will be held in Valencia, a city in southern Spain with strong cultural dynamism. The mobility activities will have an increasing duration, depending on the year of training of students. It is intended that students, along with the training at an entity in the sociocultural area, place where they may achieve and develop new skills, may give them additional qualification through a cultural program in order to increase their proficiency level defined in the vocational profile of the course.In addition to the learners mobility, the project has an important staff mobility component that aims to contribute to acquiring new skills on staff, to be shared and discussed at the end of the activities in order to boost school project, improving pedagogical and organizational processes and encouraging youth entrepreneurship and the introduction of new pedagogical practices in animation vocational training.
