The Max Ernst Gymnasium (municipal secondary school in the town of Brühl) intends to participate in an Erasmus+ project in order to cope with the current challenges regarding classes of heterogenous ethnic background and mixed abilities as well as the recent changes in the school's syllabus. The participants aim at enlarging their skills and techniques concerning methodology and language as well as intensifying the use of modern technology (i.e. eTwinning). Getting to know possible partners for future exchanges and gaining further intercultural competence are additional targets. Six teachers, who are involved in the project, represent a large variety of subjects namely the languages English and Spanish as well as Social Studies such as Geography, History, Philosophy and P.E.. The Max Ernst Gymnasium plans to combine jobshadowing programmes with Oversea's Teachers courses such as Methodology, Technology in the Classroom and CLIL. Combining jobshadowing and teachers' courses helps us to spread the aquired variety of skills and knowledge throughout the teaching staff at the Max Ernst Gymnasium. In the follow-up, teams will implement the new ideas in the departments and beyond. This concerns the school's syllabus, the exams as well as the staff's methodological knowledge and practise. In the long run, success of the project will regularly evaluated.
