This project is an important part of a larger project, implementing the YAP model as a part of the services in The Department of Social Services in Botkyrka and starting a partnership with other countries that use the model. This project, consisting of two separate activities aims to prepare the YAP contactpersons to work with young people at risk in accordance with the YAP model. The participants will be staff on different levels in the Botkyrka YAP organisation: The Director of the Department of Social Services or someone in her stead (activity 2) The Project Manager (1) The YAP coordinators (2) The YAP contactpersons (up to 20 people in activity 1 and 2 in activity 2) The CEO of YAP Ireland Team Leader of YAP Ireland (1) Advocates working in Ireland (1 or 2) More Team Leaders and Advocates will participate in activity 2. The activities will consist of interaction, talks on experiences, learning about the situation for young people in Botkyrka and Ireland, in what context YAP will be used and so on. The group discussions will be led by the Project Manager to make sure that all the participants gain from the discussions. We will prepare the participants in advance, film some of the interaction and organize gatherings afterwards to discuss experiences and make sure we gain as much knowledge from the experience as possible. We will make sure to connect YAP-coordinators in Botkyrka with Team Leaders in Ireland, youth workers in Botkyrka with a youth worker in Ireland so that they can become a support person even after the project is over. We hope that the project will help Botkyrka to implement a well working service that benefits young people and their families and that the YAP-contactpersons will grow and evolve as human beings. This will help to reach the municipalities goal to enhance the well being of the citizens of Botkyrka.
