The overall objective of the project is to promote cross-border cooperation for a better preservation of cultural heritage in the context of educational system in Hungary, Romania and Ukraine.The specific objectives of the project are:• To exchange practices and expertise among 100 kindergarten teachers from the partner institutions regarding education for traditional culture preservation, along the three semesters of the project implementation;• To train 50 kindergarten teachers from the partner institutions with a view to adequate traditional culture teaching methods, in the first semester of project implementation;• To raise awareness among pre-school children on local traditions, such as pottery, through interactive activities, in the first and second semester of the project implementation;• To develop pre-school children artistic talents and skills (at least 750 children) to use simple traditional culture techniques, at the level of the partner institutions along the three semesters of the project implementation;• To develop pre-school children capacity to establish and maintain connections with other children and adults along the three semesters of the project implementation;• To transfer identified symbols of traditional culture covering the cross-border area to school children and local community along the three semesters of the project implementation;• To strengthen relationships among parents, educational institutions and communities along the three semesters of the project implementationMain activities:The first group of activities are common cross-border activities. They include preparation activities, publicity activities, networking visitsThe second group of activities refer to common activities coordinated/assumed by the leading partner. Activities such as the organization of the Children’s Traditional Fair, the organization of the workshop for curriculum development, the coordination of the publication are included in the second group of activities.The third group of activities are implemented individually in each partner country, but they have a commonly agreed structure and design – training sessions for pre-school teachers, teaching activities for children related to local traditional culture, including activities related to traditional gastronomy that proved to be of common interest for all partners. Achievements: 1. 75 pre-school teachers trained in the field of traditional culture education in pre-school; 2. At least 750 pre-school children aware of the valuable traditional heritage around them; 3. 3 training session organized on traditional culture education; 4. At least 5 networking visits organized; 5. 1 publication collecting traditional stories in the cross-border area; 6. A collection of traditional objects realized by children; 7. Developed skills for about 800 children to create, preserve and transmit traditional values through arts and crafts8. A consolidated cross-border partnership between Satu Mare, Zakarpatska and Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg
