Nauka i praca - drogą do lepszej przyszłości
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project „Education and work - the way to a better future” was implemented jointly by Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Technicznych and the agency Berlink and it last from 01.06.2015 to 01.06.2016. The group of students aged 17-19 got apprenticeships in technical education in Berlin (Germany). Those were technical secondary school students recruited in an internal selection process from the following specialisations: IT technician and renewable energy devices and systems technician. The objective of the apprenticeship programme was raising the level of practical education, which significantly influences the graduates' employment, higher vocational and linguistic qualifications as well as enhances their activity and interest in innovation. The students were able to draw on the experience of foreign specialists and experts in IT as well as renewable energy devices and systems and, most of all, there was a correlation between the theoretical skills and practice as well as verification of their knowledge. The apprenticeship allowed students to get to know their strengths and weaknesses. During the practice, a pragmatic approach to the undertaken tasks ware shaped. Project participants ware motivated to undertake independent and creative actions as well as for self-improvement. Before each stay, an information campaign on the foreign apprenticeship programme was held among students. It was followed by the recruitment process and language and culture classes preparing for the stay. During this period, the students wrote a pre-test and sign an agreement. The group left in February 2015. After each apprenticeship stay, the students completed a questionnaire and a post-test, reports on the stay and the implementation of the apprenticeship programme was prepared and the students received Europass Mobility and Mobility Language Passport certificates. The results of the project ware published in the press and on the school's and Berlink websites. The project had a positive influence on the development of our municipality where the unemployment rate is 25%, which means that people with a lower level of education run the risk of long-term unemployment and social exclusion. Future employers of project participants will gain measurable benefits from well-prepared, creative, German-speaking employee. The promotion of the implemented project among middle schools students in our region will encourage them to choose vocational schools, which will significantly contribute to the promotion of the school. By becoming familiar with a foreign market, the students raised their own qualifications, which may allow for subsequent introduction of innovation on the local job market. Improved language skills and the use of specialist language in practice ware also an important aspect.
