The project "Education today-work tomorrow" aims to: - motivating students to deepen and broaden their knowledge in the field of language learning and vocational training as an IT technician. - strengthening of faith in their own strength and abilities - implementation towards continuous improvement of skills through the process of self education - preparation for teamwork - preparation to settle in national and European labour market. The project is intended for students from 2, 3 and/or 4 IT technician grades. The training topic ”Computernetzwerke und Erstellung einer Webseite” - "Computer networks and creating websites” , that the participans are intended to take part in, is in accordance with the IT technician teaching schedule. The project participants are going to broaden their knowledge exceeding the teaching schedule, acquire new skills and qualifications, which will be certified by WBS TRAINING AG and the Europass - Mobility. We anticipate that participation in the Project will result in leaving the school with higher notes and gaining additional advanced vocational qualifications, certified with international diplomas and certificates. A trip to the WBS TRAINING AG in Dresden is designed for 15 students and 2 accompanying teachers. The participants will be chosen from among those who already acquired skills in creating and managing Web pages written in HTML 4.0 and 5.0 and can take advantage of CSS. Part of the chosen people have completed or be in the process of basic course in developing websites in PHP and databases. Some of them will have CISCO CCNA Routing and Switching course completed and confirmed by the certificate. All participants will be required to take part in additional activities of German and English vocational language training that enables them efficient communication in every-day-life situations and trouble-free communication during training activities lead by the trainer as well as mastering the training material that will be presented in English. The time of departure is set in the second half of February 2016. This time is chosen because we expect that next year winter holidays will probably be set then. Participants will be able to calmly take care of training and acquisition of professional knowledge not having on mind possible problems with general school subjects. Also the accompanying teachers will not have to worry about the school schedule fulfillment that could be caused by their absence. During the training the ZSTI teachers and WBS staff will keep monitoring and evaluating its process. At the end of the training its evaluation will be carried out. The cultural programme for participants is to be prepared. The aims of the programme are: familiarizing participants with the nearest surroundings, showing places and objects worth seeing and bringing them to the history of Dresden and Saxony and its ties with Poland, as well as to familiarize them with the current socio-political and cultural events. Preparations for the trip will be conducted via the Internet (Skype, email) and phone. During the training constant monitoring will be held by the Polish as well as German part. Both sides will be in contact with each other, meet on the daily summing-up meetings, talk with students, so that the training is successful and entire programme can be accomplished in 100%. Classes will take place in the computer labs. Project method in small 3-5 persons groups is provided as a method of work. At the end of the training, participants will be evaluated and will receive certificates. Students participating in the project will positively improve their knowledge concerning foreign languages, broaden their acquaintance with IT subjects that will let them gain better results at examinations for professional technicians as well as increase their opportunities at the labour market. Better knowledge of languages opens the door on the European labour market. It might also strengthen their feeling of self-esteem, which will make them more self-confident, they may also be willing to face new challenges, improve in their profession and cooperate with others to achieve success. As for school - participating in the European project makes it more attractive for future students and attracts candidates that are more creative, interested in acquiring knowledge, eager to succeed. For current students this means that schooling is not boring. You can get new skills without financial contribution, which is important especially for the less affluent. The young man, actively participating in the work of the project, can feel like "a citizen of Europe".
