The project "Teacher as local animator" will be carried out Wierzbno in the West part of Poland. There are about 200 students who attend the school aged 13-16. The School is planning the implementation of the European Erasmus + in order to improve the quality of education and to wake up in young people a sense of unity with Europe. We want to create a school climate that positively affects the whole school environment and local community. We want the school to implement the Erasmus + fixed in the municipality of institution specific and interesting for young people ,their parents ,but also for the local community. The first project that aims to initiate a change in the school was the appointment of a team consisting of teachers willing to self-improve in more creative manner. Objectives of the project : • teachers increase intercultural awareness through visits and through language courses, • improvement of methods of teaching and education, • shared integration of teachers, students and the local community, • develop the language skills of teachers and students to communicate freely in other countries, • exchange of experience , increase the quality of schools and giving it a European dimension, Number and type of participants : Participants of the project can be divided into two groups: direct participants and indirect participants . Participants direct: a team of teachers leaving for a methodical and language courses abroad, while others are indirect participants, teachers, students, their parents and the local community who will be regularly informed about the progress of the project . Description of activities : The team of teachers appointed by the management of the school has developed an action plan for the project, set the work areas in need of improvement, then teachers will determine actions aimed to make significant changes to improve the education and upbringing of the school. Within the project there are eight steps to improve through trips to foreign exchange methodical language will help to improve foreign languages and education systems in other countries, methodical and educational tools and proven popular in foreign schools. In school, teachers will share their knowledge thus introducing significant changes in teaching and educational plan of the school. In addition, it is planned to organize the Day of European competition in English theaters and sporting events with the participation of parents and the local community. In the second year of the project, teachers will prepare a conference for teachers of other schools in the municipality, which will share the knowledge of other education systems in Europe. The final stage of the project will be a calendar, in which the various activities will be documented in the project. The methodology used in the project: The project will cover the following areas: foreign languages, nature, mathematics, science, sports and various forms of extra-curricular activities. Short description of the expected results : Due to the nature of the project, teachers are required to develop language skills. Teachers develop their knowledge about the organization of education in other European countries. Acquired knowledge to share with teaching staff and the community learner, and all good practices bring to their work. Through the implementation of new and interesting tasks we hope to integrate the school pupils, teachers and parents. Through the motivation and skills of teachers to increase young people's interest in language learning and use of information and communication technologies in teaching. The project will also positively on the management of the school , will facilitate the realization of new tasks included in the development plan of the school. The impact of the project: The project will have a major impact on the entire school community, but also to other schools in the municipality. Through interviews with students, parents, school newspaper, articles in local newspapers, on the school website and the municipalities , the information about the project activities on local television are going to reach out to the wider community of the municipality and country. At the scheduled sporting events and events to promote language learning will invite students from other schools and we will acquaint others with the Erasmus +. Calendar for 2017, which we intend to spend it reaches the other schools and parents. Potential long-term benefits : The project will be introduced to the European dimension of school education. Acquired knowledge and experience will be used by teachers in further teaching and the students at a later stage of education. Teachers will share their knowledge with colleagues at school, organizing open classes or training within the self-study team. Contained friendships with teachers from other countries will enable further cooperation and exchange of experience.
