Nature-Good for your health!
Date du début: 1 avr. 2015, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Some our youngsters with fewer opportunities, who have already participated in previous exchanges came up with the idea to organize a youth exchange in the field of outdoor sports and sustainably helthy lifestyles. We welcomed the initiative and sat down to develop a project from this idea. The main activities were sport and nature related activities: hiking, rope activities, workshops on environmental and nature related topics, geocaching in the forest etc. We did our activities using informal and non-formal methods such as dynamic, interactive and simulation games, small sitdowns, work in big and small groups, presentations and learning by doing. Skills and competences of young people and youth workers were improved, and with certain organizations we will have a stronger cooperation in the long run, through which youth work can be better developed. The aims of our project were to promote the practice of outdoor activities through which we drew the attention of youngsters to healthy lifestyles. We fostered social inclusion and active participation of young people and support them to acquire and improve knowledge, skills and attitudes through informal and non-formal learning with a view to improving their personal development and hence their employability. We promoted active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, solidarity and acceptance. Young people got to know nature and each other better, and we expect that they will become more environmentally conscious citizens as well as living a healthier life. Organizations and youth workers also profited from this exchange. We also want to enhance the international dimension of youth activities and the role of youth workers and organisations as support structures for young people. Venue of the exchange: Boldogkőváralja, Hungary Date of the exchange: 19th of June-29th of July, 2015. Participating countries: Italy, Lithuania, Turkey and Hungary. Number of participants: 23 participants Group age of participants: 16-26
