The main purpose of the project is to help the staff of our school to improve their language skills. It mainly applies to the teachers who teach such subjects as Polish, Mathematics, History, Chemistry and Business Studies. What is more, foreign language teachers will have an opportunity to enhance their speaking skills , gain new experience and improve their methodology skills in second language teaching. All the actions considered may help us accomplish our attempts to be allowed to create a Polish - English bilingual class in our school. The well qualified staff , especially English teachers, who can conduct lecturers in English will guarantee high academic standards of the prospective class. Such school faculty will meet the needs of the local society and job market. There are 24 teachers being involved in the project teaching various school subjects in particular 4 English teachers, 2 German teachers, 1 Italian teacher, 1 French teacher, 4 Polish teachers, 2 Mathematics teachers, 2 History teachers, 2 Chemistry teachers and1 Business Studies teacher. Two of the teachers are members of the management staff. The improved speaking and methodology skills acquired by the foreign language teachers participating in special- purpose courses will definitely affect positively the final exam results achieved by our students. Moreover, our students will take an advantage of their teacher professional development by taking final exams for Polish- English bilingual classes.
