"Name of the Rose" is a job shadowing project making available for 2 youth workers from Slovenia to go for 10 days to Paris at Festival de l'Inde (France). The job shadowing activities will start on 7th of September 2014 and will go for 10 working days, until 20th of September 2014. The project aims to exchange experience, acquire new skills, gain useful knowledge and also develop a partnership. Drustvo za Duso (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and Festival de l'Inde (Sarcelles, France) are both non profit, have mainly young volunteers and have vast experience with organising education of youth. Their aim is to professionalise their work and to increase their motivation for activities in youth working area (especially in social entrepreneurship and event planning/management), which would help them in training unemployed young people and involve them in the projects dealing with mentioned areas. We would like to form an international partnership, learn from each other how each institution organizes and carries out their work with young people and also to exchange good practice experiences. Job shadowing activities will take place in Sarcelles at the office of Festival de l'Inde, where Mrs. Lija Vidmar and Mr. Onyeani Ukegbu Kalu will learn about good practices with youth, shadow French youth workers in action and share their experience with French colleagues. During these 10 days of job shadowing, participants will discuss the issues of social entrepreneurship, youth volunteering in event planning/management, professionalisation and recognition of youth work, European certificates (Youthpass, Europass CV), intercultural learning, intergenerational cooperation and healthy living, with intent to learn to promote and encourage active and healthy attitude towards modern challenges of youth in area of employment. Participants will share their knowledge, expertise and insights to these topics and try to find solutions for youth engagement in modern everyday challenges. After the job shadowing activity, the Slovenian youth workers will present their experience through dissemination event to the members of their organisation and to the local youth workers on open public presentation held in their premises in Ljubljana.
