-EFSLI schools, training on demand & meetings: further EFSLI schools are planned in Kosovo, Austria, Croatia and Serbia. Trainings will be combined with meetings with the interpreter and deaf associations, to stimulate collaboration between practitioners and service users in the further development of training and services. Target groups: interpreter and deaf associations.-Training the trainers: this action line started in 2014 and will continue during 2016, following up the guidelines established by the EFSLI publications "Learning Outcomes" and “Assessment Guidelines". These 2 publications present the minimum skills expected of a graduate interpreter anywhere in Europe and were launched in 2013 at the European Parliament . The EFSLI Committee of Experts, formed by academics from across Europe have now focused on the need for full trained trainers in order to set up quality sign language training programs that make possible students to achieve the above mentioned learning outcomes. In 2015 a "training the trainers" seminar was held to develop educational framework of reference to be applied by interpreter trainers across Europe. 2016 EFSLI will develop an online training package to be available on the EFSLI website and will also establish a forum of exchange between interpreter trainers. A working seminar on training deaf trainers in Hamburg will provide with insights on this specific profile. These activities and materials will support the implementation of training programs in the countries without formal training yet. Target groups: training programs, policy makers.-Deaf interpreters' seminar: EFSLI is promoting the training and further development of the profession of deaf interpreter. EFSLI established in 2013 a permanent Deaf Interpreters' committee, and since 2012 succesful deaf interpreters' seminars have been organised across Europe. In 2016, meeting the increasing demand detected, EFSLI will organize for the second time 2 European seminars in one year for deaf interpreters (Croatia and Greece) in order to further investigate this field and identify specific training needs to fully develop this new professional profile. -Annual conference in Athens: The aim is to provide an international platform for all stakeholders (researchers, practitioners, trainers, service users, service providers and policy makers) to discuss recent developments, and to share best practices. At least 200 participants from 25 European countries are expected. Conference proceedings will be published. In addition EFSLI research fund, available for researchers across Europe, also foster further developments in the field of interpreters' education and training.-Advisory task: To provide advise to new and current educational programmes for interpreters. In 2012 EFSLI set up a Commitee of Experts in training and education. -Participation in events: To exchange information in the education of interpreters and disseminate the results of its work, EFSLI will actively participate at significant international events. These events are e.g. the International conference on sign language recognition in Europe to be held at the European Parliament, the Critical Link conference (community intepreting), ProSign meeting (a ECML-European Centre for Modern Languages project). Target groups: spoken & sign language interpreters, educators, policy makers, and service providers.
