Our project will gather 30 young people, from Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Spain and Ukraine around the topic of volunteering. This group will be socially heterogeneic, and will bring together young people from diverses origins and capacities, including young people with disability. During the exchange, the young people will share their expectations, knowledge and experiences about volunteering (global and local volunteering). They will also share about the difficulties they can face in their city, in Europe, in the world general and what they can change personally in their community. The project will lead to a theater show presenting the opinions and thoughts of the participants. This play will be presented to the public on the main place of the town of Marche-en-Famenne at the end of the youth exchange. Our working methods will be the ones of non-formal education. In all case, they suppose an active participation of each young people, and encourage the peer education. Artistic expression will be an important componant of our project. A 2 days field visit to a short term international voluntary project is also foreseen in our activity programme. We hope this project will have a strong impact on the participants, will be a source of social empowrement, intercultural learning, acquirement and development of soft skills. We also wish that our project be an incentive to youth participation.
