Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project of exchange of good practice brings together seven different adult educational institutions in four countries for the length of two years. The goal is to learn from each other and to discuss what is needed for a sustainable non-formal adult learning in order to form courageous creative and enthusiastic citizens.Context of the project:Lifelong learning is a complex challenge for adults. Knowledge only is no longer sufficient in our fast changing living and working worlds. Beside solid qualifications there are additional competences required in order to enable people to act situationally and self-organized. Competences are needed in order to be innovative and attractive on the job market and to activate the civic sense. It is indispensable to learn in correlations. Especially the non-formal adult learning can make an important contribution to these aspects. It helps adults to strengthen their personality and attitude. It widens their perspective and empowers them to take responsibility for themselves and for their social surroundings and to get actively and meaningfully involved in the growing, multicultural Europe. At the same time, adults who already consume learning offers rise in their expectations. They demand differentiated and individually adapted learning actions of high quality. These claims lead to a stronger professionalism of adult learning institutes. Objectives:In view of these complex and mutually influenced factors one reaches quite quickly to its limits. Therefore, it is purposeful to work together on this challenging task that the institutions face in today’s non-formal adult learning. We want to become acquainted with our partners’ profiles and to learn from each other in terms of best practices and the mastering of challenges. We dare a view from the future what kind of transversal competences will be needed. We want to show essential ways of learning and acting as well as to develop creative formats, if possible. We aim to meet the goals of the European Agenda for Adult Learning. With a substantial and philanthropic adult education we not only help people to be competitive on the working market, but also contribute to a succeeding living together where humans of different cultures and religions share living space. We want to educate adults to become awake and critical citizens who will be courageous, innovative, creative, social and substantially acting and who make an effort for peace, justice and preservation of creation. All in all we want to strengthen the status of adult learning in the peoples' minds.Number and profile of institutes and participants:Seven adult educational institutions with two experts each will contribute to this project. All partners are active in the non-formal adult learning and have different focuses and basic conditions. Some hold seminars in their educational centers, others work with people in their local communities or cooperate with other educational institutions. The 14 experts show rich and profound experiences as well as the necessary creativity and vision power to synergistically develop and realize new ideas for a substantial non-formal adult learning. Activities:We get to know each other in his/her working areas, guiding principles and local specialities. We learn examples of good practice and solutions of difficult situations. We analyze social developments and transversal competences and will match them with our goals and profiles. We clarify the benefits and possibilities of future forms of cooperation, check the potential of synergies and aim to develop creative formats which can be used and locally adapted by each partner. Methodology to be used:We will work with proven methods of adult education, Art of Hosting as well as arts based techniques. Results, envisaged impacts and the potential longer term benefits:We have gathered to this intensive exchange of good practice because we are convinced that due to the large experience each single one of us will induce an immense widening of perspectives with himself/herself and with others. The gained knowledge will enlarge the individual frame of acting which will enable us to be inspiring for others and to reach a sovereign attitude in terms of non-formal adult learning. Furthermore, we make an essential contribution to meet the goals of the European Agenda Adult Learning. Long term beneficiaries will therefore not only be the directly involved partner organisations and their cooperation partners but also the participatory adults and important stakeholders on local, regional, national and European levels.
