Multilingva
Date du début: 1 août 2015, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The EVS project "Multilingva" involves 3 volunteers from the Netherlands and is the result of a new partnership between two NGOs: Stichting UcDean (the Netherlands) and Wild Carpathia (Romania). Project activities will take place in Sighisoara (Romania) over the period of 10 months (October 2015 - August 2016). Both organizations are committed to establishing a sustainable East-West dialogue in which young people from diverse cultural backgrounds get an opportunity to experience eachother's culture, history and way of life. The 3 volunteers in this project will contribute to developing and sustaining an inclusive local and regional infrastructure for quality leisure-time opportunities and space for creativity for vulnerable youth groups in the Sighisoara region. Project activities include organising workshops in the domains of sports, arts, culture and language training, coordination of local youth initiatives and organization of cultural events for the Sighisoara community. Volunteers will also have an opportunity to develop their own projects and acquire project management skills in an international working environment. This project seeks to make a meaningful contribution to the development of quality out-of-school activities for young Romanians in the Sighisoara region. Currently, opportunities for outdoor and out-of-school activities are very limited. The project will include the target group in all stages of the creation, development and execution of workshops and events, thus contributing to the sustainability of the project outcomes, fostering a strong sense of local ownership and optimizing opportunities for thetransfer of skills and knowledge between EVS volunteers and the Romanian target group. The partner organizations in this project are committed to further deepen their partnership and use this EVS project as a launching path for future activities in the field of youth, intercultural learning and East-West cooperation.
