Multi-religious dialogue of youth
Date du début: 15 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 mars 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Youth exchange „Multi-religious Dialogue of Youth“– is an international project on religion and human relations. Nowadays youngsters spends less time regarding their religion, as a result, learn less about other peoples’ religious beliefs as well. These circumstances allow the appearance of false, premature points of view and stereotypes, which have a great impact towards communication with representatives of particular religion. Misunderstandings and even conflicts are very likely to arise because of these reasons also. The goal of this trade program is to share your cultural knowledge and customs, at the same time learning about others’ religious beliefs and traditions, finding connections between moral values and religions, finding out the role of men and women in families and society, breaking stereotypes, considering cultural discrimination. This trade program consists of several various activities: religion presentations; a journey to the Molėtai ethnocosmology museum; different discussions about men and women status, love, family, even death; a trip to Vilnius visiting various chapels. By this trade project we aim to provide any necessary skills that can be applied in real life, prompt tolerance and respect for someone different from us, despite different opinion, attitude or religion. We will share the experience acquired in this project with young people - organize short lectures about various religions and their features, by that, showing local communities, why it is of great importance to tolerate and respect people of other religious beliefs and not to create a false, premature impression towards them. The youth exchange will take place at the “Daugirdiškės“ training centre from 13th - 23th of July, 2014. The project will last for 10 days. The youth organization representatives, participating in it, will be from Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Malta, Spain and Turkey. Each country will send a group of 5 people of age 18 to 24 and a group leader.
