Our proposal is aimed at VET students trained in professional certificates level II who wish to have a professional experience in an European company outside of Spain. Once completed their studies in Spain, they will take up 3 weeks (21 days) of practical experience in Italian companies to improve the skills acquired during the training. 8 students will be selected from all who attend the 2015 level II certified Manufacture And Assembly Of Industrial Piping Installations, Metal Arc Welding With Covered Electrode And Tig, Welding Oxyfuel Gas And Mig/Mag Welding, Machining and Assembling And Maintenance Of Gas Installations. Students profile: age between 25-36 years old, unemployed, low foreign language skills level and no studies or practical experience outside of Spain. Minimum level of training (before concluding the certificate in Spain) is variable being the ESO (or equivalent accreditation) the minimum permitted level according to Spanish legal regulations for students in Level II. In the selection phase, participants will go through the selection process in Spain added by a personal interview with the Italian organizations by video conference. In the preparation phase previous the departure they will receive a 4 weeks preparation in relation to Italian culture, Italian language basic skills, Italian work culture and behaviours and travel and stay information & support. During the stay in Italy they will be monitored by a tutor in Spain, 1 tutor in the intermediate organization in Italy and 1 tutor in the Italian company. Once they return to Spain they will receive in our center employment services where they be taught how to integrate this experience in their jobs applications in the region. This experience will be documented by the Europass instrument, Europass Curriculum, Europass Supplement as well as the training placement letter issued by the host company. As results we expect this experience of mobility increase the employability of our students both in Spain and Europe. We also hope that students feel more confident in taking part in employment activities or training in other European countries. We also expect the motivation for acquiring language skills increases among participants considering that in Spain traditionally foreign languages skills among VET students is rather low. We estimate this experience will impact greatly in their job search possibilities contributing to their labour insertion in a period of 4-6 months once they return to Spain.
